I write. Sometimes people give me cheques. Sometimes these cheques clear. Sometimes this is good money, like when I write for radio or television. Sometimes it is not, like when I write articles for Arts magazines. When I'm not writing I'm reading. Which is a good thing because people give me cheques to read. Sometimes these cheques clear. Sometimes this is good money, like in the fall when dozens of books come out at once. Sometimes it is not. Like in January and late July when apparently no one reads anything except their VISA bills. The site is just getting up, but should have almost 100 six-minute interviews by the spring.

Personal Life: I have a son who is twenty-three (how the hell did that happen?...No, I know HOW it came that I have a son, just not sure how the two decades passed so quickly). My son lives in Montreal where he cooks at the ultra cool restaurant Au Pied de Cochon. I have a girlfriend who got me into LJ and I'm poly so that means I usually make a mess of having a girlfriend. Fortunately she is kind sweet and sitting right beside me as I write this. GULP
I have two ex-wives, two cats and way too many space toys...at least in the opinions of the four aforementioned. When I'm not writing or reading or hanging out naked with my gf, I can be found doing improv (usually not naked) at The Staircase in Hamilton, Ontario (www.staircase.org). My brother is an only child. He and his wife are both lawyers. But they are nicer than that sounds. They have two children imported from China who call me Bo-Bo. Yes, this is the clown's name. It is also the name given to the elder brother of the father. So I am stuck with it. In revenge, I call them the Nasty Nieces. They aren't but don't tell them I said so, it would ruin our fun. I hope to die sitting in a rocking chair on the shores of Lake Kushog in Haliburton, Ontario. I hope that death involves the angry father of identical triplets. I hope they are cute...preferably female and cute. I hope the cheque clears.
